Mickelson, Leonard to play in LV’s PGA event

Phil Mickelson and Justin Leonard have committed to play in the 2000 Invensys Classic.
The tournament formerly called the Las Vegas Invitational will be played Oct. 11-15 at the TPC Summerlin, the Desert Inn Golf Club and Southern Highlands Golf Club.
Mickelson, a three-time winner this year, is having a career personal best season in earnings. He is in second place on the PGA Tour money list with $3,387,457.
Leonard has finished second three times this year, giving him $1,323,365 in earnings. The 1997 British Open champion is tied for 19th on the tour this year with eight eagles.
