Henderson school, park sites at issue

A Las Vegas real estate developer is seeking an order to correct an error it claims Interstate Mortgage Group Inc. made that prevents the developer from giving school and park sites to the city of Henderson.
Crestdale Associates Ltd. sued the insolvent IMG and 45 investors in Clark County District Court, alleging they failed to correct their error regarding the legal descriptions for the school and park in the deeds of trust executed to secure a loan Champion Village obtained from IMG.
Champion Village sold the planned residential and commercial project including the school and park to Crestdale, the lawsuit said. The suit said IMG began foreclosure proceedings against the school and park when Champion Village later defaulted on an IMG loan.
Aviva Gordon, attorney for the state-appointed receiver of Interstate, declined comment.
