Immunizations
Health district immunization clinics are open each week in and around Las Vegas. Immunizations are provided without charge to children and young adults under the age of 21 in any of four public health centers and 15 satellite clinics. The following clinics will be open this week, Sept. 13 through 19:
DISTRICT HEALTH CENTER: 625 Shadow Lane, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
HENDERSON PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 129 W. Lake Mead Drive, Building A, Suite 10, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
EAST LAS VEGAS PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 560 N. Nellis Blvd., Suite E12, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
NORTH LAS VEGAS FAMILY HEALTH CENTER: 2225 Civic Center Drive, Suite 240C, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
EOB NORTH LAS VEGAS WIC: 5A E. Tonopah Ave., 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Wednesday.
ST. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH: 130 N. Pecos Road, 9 a.m.-noon Thursday.
GREEN VALLEY CLINIC: Green Valley Library, 2797 N. Green Valley Parkway, 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3:30 p.m. Friday.
FAMILY TO FAMILY CLINIC: 2125-C E. Lake Mead Blvd. (College Park Plaza), 12:30-3:30 p.m. Friday.
CHEYENNE I-3 CLINIC: Centers for Healthy Families, 3266 Las Vegas Blvd. North, Suite 12, 9 a.m.-noon Friday.
DAGERMANS JUST FOR KIDS: 2370 S. Rainbow Blvd., 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday.
BABIES 'R' US THE BABY SUPERSTORE: 2150 Rainbow Blvd., 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
NORTH LAS VEGAS BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB: 2530 E. Carey Ave., 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.
Guedry named chairman
John Guedry, president of Business Bank of Nevada, was named Southern Nevada's corporate recruitment chairman for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation's 2000 Walk to Cure Diabetes.
Guedry will help the foundation reach its goal of raising $425,000 from this year's walk, scheduled Sept. 23 at UNLV.
