Soccer: UNLV loses again in OT

The UNLV men's soccer team lost 3-2 to Grand Canyon in double overtime on Sunday in the second day of the Coors Classic at Johann field. It was the second straight overtime loss and third straight overtime match for the Rebels (1-2-1).
Grand Canyon (3-1-1) scored the first goal of the match six minutes into the game on a rebound off Rebels defender Matt Thompson. Rebels forward Jason Melendez then scored back-to-back goals, the first one coming at the 14:37 mark on a setup shot by Alejandro Hernandez, and the second on a pass from Tuomas Talvio.
In the 83rd minute of the second half Marcelo Sori scored on a penalty kick to send the game into overtime.
