The $200 million Suncoast hotel-casino passed its final fire and life safety tests Sunday night, putting the new property on schedule to open as planned Tuesday night.
David Ross, general manager of the Suncoast, said the final tests were completed by city of Las Vegas inspectors at 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Following the inspection of the Suncoast parking garage and the completion of necessary paperwork, Ross said he expects a temporary certificate of occupancy to be issued sometime today.
"At this point, everything looks good," Ross said. "There are no issues that should hold up this opening."
The Suncoast is scheduled to open at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
