C.E. Baggerman
C.E. Baggerman, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born July 6, 1928, in Pampa, Texas. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of the Operating Engineers Union.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; five daughters, Cristal, Tamara, Becky, Daveyann and Teresa, two sons, Richard and Wally, and one brother, William Baggerman, all of Las Vegas; and 17 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Tuesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service.
Betty Barger
Betty Barger, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 13, 1925, in Indiana. A resident for many years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Kratz of Arlington, Texas.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Indiana. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Samuel H. Berry
Samuel H. Berry, 27, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 14, 1973, in Los Angeles. A resident for 18 years, he was a tile setter in the construction industry, a member of Flex Style Rap Group and a veteran of the Marine Corps Reserves.
He is survived by two sons, Javon Kamanuwai and Jordan Kamanuwai-Berry, and his parents, Michael and Annie Berry, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Michael K. Berry of Las Vegas and Eric Sialoi of Carson, Calif.; and one sister, Kimberly Torvik of Seattle.
Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mountaintop Faith Ministries, 2850 S. Lindell Road. Burial will be private. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.
Robert Chandick
Robert Chandick, 69, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 18, 1931, in Chicago. A resident for one year, he was a retired president and owner of a wire manufacturing plant and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mayda; one son, Ricky Chandick of Grand Prairie, Texas; one daughter, Wendy Smith of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; his mother, Frances Chandick, and two sisters, Marlene O'Connor and Barbara Sarna, all of Orland Park, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Suite 140, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Pauline Cohen
Pauline Cohen, 94, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 17, 1905, in Poland. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Laura Toppel and Mildred Cohen, both of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
Graveside services were scheduled at 10:30 a.m. today in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Synagogue Adat Ari El, 3310 S. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102.
Thanh Dang
Thanh Dang, 63, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 15, 1937, in Vietnam. A resident for 23 years, he was a retired custodian for Clark County schools.
He is survived by his wife, Thu Chau; and one daughter, Cam Tu Dang of Las Vegas.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Leona Zolte Gennis
Leona Zolte Gennis, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born July 12, 1920, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 28 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Jay Shoor of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Susan Seder of Homewood, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Keith G. Higgins
Keith G. Higgins, 51, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 29, 1949, in Los Angeles. A resident for several years, he was a casino pit manager and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by three sisters, Linda Higgins of Los Angeles, Janet Shelton of Inglewood, Calif., and Jonetta Rivers of Hawthorne, Calif.; and one brother, Kevin Thomas of Los Angeles.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries.
Norman N. Kleinfelter
Norman N. Kleinfelter, 77, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born March 24, 1923, in Lebanon, Pa. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired Navy chief petty officer, a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran and a member of the Naval Fleet Reserve.
He is survived by one daughter, Linda L. Lund of Las Vegas; four sisters, Peggy and Helen Breen, both of Lebanon, Thelma of Palm Desert, Calif., and Patricia Wagner; two brothers, Galen Kleinfelter of Lebanon and C. Harry Kleinfelter of Finksburg, Md.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be noon Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Dorothy Kay Luce
Dorothy Kay Luce, 64, of McPherson, Kan., died Thursday in McPherson. She was born June 25, 1936, in Lyons, Kan. A former Las Vegas resident until 1998, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Link.
She is survived by three daughters, Susan Jarvis of Baldwin City, Kan., Teresa Jarvis of McPherson and Tina Montroy of Las Vegas; one son, Justin Cable, and one sister, Betty Miles, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Edward Luce of Riverside, Calif.; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Glidden-Ediger Funeral Home, McPherson, is handling arrangements.

Alfonso A. Mercogliano
Alfonso A. Mercogliano, 74, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Henderson. He was born Nov. 18, 1925, in Asbury Park, N.J. A resident for more than 30 years, he was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Elks Lodge in Belmar, N.J. for more than 30 years.
He is survived by one son, Michael Mercogliano, and one sister, Marlene Bressi, both of New Jersey; three brothers, Bruce Mercogliano and Andy Mercogliano, both of New Jersey, and Ricky Mercogliano of Virginia.
Visitation is scheduled 4-8 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Tuesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Linda Marie Moore
Linda Marie Moore, 29, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 13, 1970, in California. A resident for four years, she was a student.
She is survived by one daughter, Taylor Shirley of Oregon; her mother, Roberta (Moore) Phelps of Ventura, Calif.; her father, Richard Moore, and one sister, Natalie Brewer, both of California.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Ventura. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Matt Morgan
Matt Morgan, 43, of Henderson died Friday. He was born March 16, 1957, in Elko. A resident for four years, he was a director of information systems at the Stratosphere.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; his parents, Vernon and Bunnie Morgan of Broomfield, Colo; two brothers, Tim Morgan of Broomfield and Andy Morgan of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and three sisters, Lydia Chambers of Westminster, Colo., Amy Kusnierek of Faribault, Minn., and Melissa Platter of Broomfield.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Jesus M. Perez
Jesus M. Perez, 50, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 22, 1949, in Mexico. A resident for 36 years, he was an employee at the Sahara hotel-casino for more than 30 years.
He is survived by four sons, Anthony James Perez, Carlos Perez, Fernando Perez and Sergio Perez, three brothers, Trinidad Perez, Teodoro Perez and Carlos Perez, and two sisters, Basilisa Perez and Socorro Perez, all of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Luella S. Russell
Luella S. Russell, 87, of Boulder City died Wednesday in a local hospital. A resident for 37 years, she was born May 31, 1913, in Crookston, Minn.
She is survived by her husband, John H.; three daughters, Roberta R. Olson of Tucson and Yvonne M. Gragson and Linda C. Coyner, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Robert Hoyland of Lake Shasta, Calif., and Jack Hoyland of Burlingame, Calif.; two sisters, Eileen Nelson of Baudette, Minn., and Helen Erickson of Springfield, Minn.; eight grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is arranging private services.
Wally Solnica
Wally Solnica, 78, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 23, 1922, in Poland. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired office building janitor.
He is survived by his wife, Ewa; three daughters, Christine Egbert of Joliet, Ill., Regina Bressler of Mesa, Ariz., and Isabella Barcikowski of Castle Rock, Colo.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Richard Velotta
Richard Velotta, 70, of Aurora, Colo., died Thursday in Aurora. He was born April 22, 1930, in Cleveland. He was a photography instructor, an Air Force senior master sergeant and Vietnam War veteran, a member of Aurora Lodge 156 AFAM, Denver Consistery, El Jebel Shrine and Dawn 125 OES.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; one son, Richard Velotta Jr. of North Las Vegas; one daughter, Cynthia Kozacek of Peoria, Ariz.; and one sister, Geraldine Smith of Palm Desert, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Fairmount Mortuary, Denver, is handling arrangements.
Jane Marie Weiner
Jane Marie Weiner, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 5, 1923, in Elmira, N.Y. A resident for three years, she was a retired telephone instructor.
She is survived by her husband, Martin.
