The Suncoast hotel-casino is on track for a Tuesday evening opening in the city's northwest, according to Tom Mikovits, the resort's marketing manager.
The $200 million Coast Resorts property near Summerlin finished its fire and life safety tests over the weekend, Mikovits said.
Company officials plan to open the doors to the public following a 7:30 p.m. fireworks show Tuesday. The resort is scheduled to open with 200 hotel rooms.
The Suncoast's 80,000-square-foot casino will have more than 2,100 slot machines and 48 table games. The resort also will be home to a 16-screen movie theater, 500-seat showroom and a 64-lane bowling center as well as four restaurants and a buffet.
The Suncoast is the newest property of Coast Resorts, Inc., which also owns and operates Barbary Coast, Gold Coast and The Orleans.
