A 24-year-old Las Vegas man who served prison time for killing the unborn baby of his girlfriend four years ago has been indicted for allegedly beating the woman again.
According to the indictment unsealed Friday, Roderick Galloway battered his girlfriend on Feb. 28, then kidnapped, beat and held her hostage in her apartment on June 19.
Galloway faces two battery charges, a second-degree kidnapping, a coercion and a burglary charge in connection with the incidents.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Abbi Silver told District Judge Lee Gates that Galloway was convicted of three battery charges in 1996, one of which stemmed from his arrest on manslaughter charges in the death of the unborn child of the woman, who was eight months pregnant.
