Actress joins board of Kerkorian’s movie company

SANTA MONICA, Calif. -- Businesswoman and actress Priscilla Presley was named to the board of directors of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc., the movie studio controlled by casino titan Kerk Kerkorian.
"Priscilla's professional achievements in both the business and entertainment sectors make her a superb addition to the MGM Board," said Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. Chairman and Chief Executive Alex Yemenidjian.
Presley is founder and chair of the advisory board of Elvis Presley Enterprises and author of the book "Elvis and Me."
Besides his film company, Kerkorian controls Las Vegas-based casino giant MGM MIRAGE.
