Soccer: UNLV women edge Idaho

Suzanne Jensen scored off a corner kick in the 89th minute to lift the UNLV women's soccer team to a 3-2 victory over Idaho Thursday night at Johann Field. The Rebels (3-2) scored all three of their goals in the second half of its home opener. Idaho (1-4) took a 1-0 lead only 19 seconds into the match on an unassisted goal by Christina Anderson, but UNLV took a 2-0 lead on second-half goals by Anita Pedford and Jessica Chavez. The Vandals tied the score in the 77th minute on a goal by Bradee Fitzpatrick. UNLV will host Bowling Green Monday night at 7 p.m. at Johann Field.
