Letter: Clap it up for Clapshaw
Friday, Sept. 8, 2000 | 1:31 a.m.
I'm disappointed in the Sun's coverage of Las Vegas' only NHRA Top Fuel car (driven by Gary Clapshaw, which finished second) at the U.S. Nationals. There was none. Come on. For us drag racing fans, this was the same as coming in second at the Indy 500.
And Clapshaw has done it without sponsorship. His own money is all that is behind the Spirit of Las Vegas dragster.
