Picks: Bishop Gorman will find a way to win
Thursday, Sept. 7, 2000 | 10:46 a.m.
After flirting with the elusive .800 mark throughout last season, it looks like the chase is on after an 8-3 opening week.
WEEK TWO
Friday's Games
BISHOP GORMAN at ELDORADO, 7 p.m.
Two of Nevada's top Division I prospects go head-to-head, with scouts expected to turn out in droves to see the Gaels' Dyante Parkins and the Sundevils' Steven Jackson.
Pick -- Gorman 24, Eldorado 14
PALO VERDE at SILVERADO, 7 p.m.
This one goes down the wire, with the home team getting the nod.
Pick -- Silverado 27, Palo Verde 21
CHEYENNE at CHAPARRAL, 7 p.m.
Cowboys QB Dallas Dobbs won't pass for five TDs in this one, but he'll give the Shields headaches nonetheless.
Pick -- Chaparral 26, Cheyenne 20
WESTERN at VALLEY, 7 p.m.

The Wolves hung tough against Gorman last week, but this is asking too much.
Pick -- Cimarron 42, Basic 7

The Falcons have momentum and confidence after beating Clark.
Pick -- Foothill 26, Centennial 14
