Consultants called in to examine MGM Grand theme park uses

MGM MIRAGE is in discussions with consultants and potential partners about a possible redevelopment of its 19-acre MGM Grand Adventures Theme Park in Las Vegas.
A source familiar with the matter said MGM MIRAGE was "looking into alternative uses and enhancements" for the property, but emphasized no decisions had been made yet.
MGM MIRAGE President Jim Murren told investors in July that the park was "under review," and Chairman Terry Lanni told the Las Vegas Sun at that time that "if something comes along (for a new use of the park), we'd certainly consider it."
"We have been on the record for some time as seeking ways to maximize the value of the asset that the theme park currently represents," said MGM MIRAGE spokesman Alan Feldman today. He declined further comment.
