Sport: Football
Currently: After redshirting the 1999 season, Parker won the Utes' starting strong safety job with a strong spring showing. Last Saturday, the 6-2, 210-pounder made four tackles -- three unassisted -- in Utah's season-opening 17-3 loss to visiting Arizona. Parker's 40 time of 4.40 ranks third among all Utes this season.
Looking back: Parker was the Sun's 1998 State Defensive Player of the Year after leading the Spartans to their first 4A state championship with a win over Elko.
