Online Gaming Systems Ltd. of Boca Raton, Fla., plans to move its corporate headquarters to Las Vegas by the end of September.
Las Vegas is already home to Online Gaming's Excel division, which manufactures portable gaming equipment for casinos. The division has a sales and distribution agreement with Anchor Gaming.
Online Gaming also produces a suite of casino games designed to be used by Internet casino operators, an Internet sports wagering system, a lottery system and a multi-player bingo system. These operations will be relocated to Las Vegas.
The company said it was making the move because it wanted to locate its headquarters in the "heart of the gaming industry," and because it believes it can achieve greater cost efficiencies by consolidating offices. About 16 employees work in the Florida office, though not all will be relocated to Las Vegas.
Online Gaming also announced the appointment of Gary Ramos as chief executive, replacing acting CEO Peter Lawson. Ramos currently heads the Excel operation in Las Vegas.
