Letter: Vote for person, not the party

Obviously he votes the straight Democrat ticket regardless of the poor quality of some of the candidates and their veracity.
Both parties are failing America and Americans, but voting the straight party line and ignoring fringe parties is not intelligent and does qualify a person as an ignoramus.
Don't vote straight party line because that political party will take you for granted and lose respect for you. See the 1A story in the Aug. 23 Sun: "Gore escapes funding probe."
