Ricky 'Tedoco' Basurto
Ricky "Tedoco" Basurto, 6, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. A resident for six years, he was born Sept. 9, 1993, in Downey, Calif.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Marinette and Thomas Fitzpatrick III of Las Vegas; his father and stepmother, Ricardo Basurto II and Heather Basurto, and one sister, Erika Basurto, all of Riverside, Calif.; and three brothers, Risaiah Basurto of Riverside, Kevin Fitzpatrick of Las Vegas and Thomas Fitzpatrick IV of Ohio.
Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Elizabeth 'Betty' Brunick
Elizabeth 'Betty' Brunick, 72, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 30, 1928, in Philadelphia. A resident for 17 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; two daughters, Helen Dick of North Las Vegas and Theresa Hill of Elmo, Utah; three sons, Michael Brunick of Santa Maria, Calif., James Brunick of Las Vegas and Billy Brunick of Sidney, Australia; two sisters, Roslie McCombs of Santa Maria and Helen Yuerska of Atlantic City; two brothers, Jack Tobin and Bobby Tobin, both of Philadelphia; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
The family suggests donations to the American Lung Association, 3375 Glen Ave., No. 7, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Elaine Ruth Chester
Elaine Ruth Chester, 85, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born June 12, 1915, in Hempstead, N.Y. A resident for 31 years, she was a retired musician.
She is survived by one son, Charles Chester of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Jason Patrick Conley
Jason Patrick Conley, 26, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 30, 1973, in Anchorage, Alaska. A resident for four years, he was a waiter.
He is survived by his mother, Pamela Crain of Las Vegas; his father, James Conley, one brother, James Christopher Conley, and one sister, Jennifer Betancourt, all of Asheville, N.C.
Visitation was scheduled 3-4:30 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be in Asheville.
Lester Goldstein
Lester Goldstein, 82, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 7, 1918, in St. Louis. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired furniture business owner.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah; one daughter, Jill Shaikewitz of Las Vegas; one son, Nathan E. Goldstein, and two brothers, Nate Goldstein and Irv Goldstein, all of St. Louis; and two grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 3 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Thelma M. Kruse
Thelma M. Kruse, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born March 30, 1930, in Montana. A resident for three years, she was a butcher.
She is survived by three daughters, Suzie Black, Janice Harala and Sally Sitarski; two brothers, Roy Wilbur and Jerry Helean; four sisters, Pat Salovich, Rosemary Florentino, Jean Diehl and Helean Wilbur; and five grandchildren.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Allyx Victoria McGinnis
Allyx Victoria McGinnis, 8, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 24, 1991, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by her parents, Rahnny and Matthew McGinnis, four brothers, Gaetane McGinnis, Robert C. McGinnis, Robert McGinnis and Christopher McGinnis, and one sister, Hannah McGinnis, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until a 10:30 a.m. rosary and family prayer Saturday with services following at 11 a.m. in the LDS Relief Society Room, 1707 S. Sloan Lane. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Joseph Robert Merola
Joseph Robert Merola, 75, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. He was born Nov. 7, 1924, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for nine years, he was a police officer and World War II Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene; one daughter, Marianne Merola of Lauderhill, Fla.; and three brothers, Anthony Merola and Robert Merola, both of Las Vegas, and Ralph Merola of New York.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Odie Carol Miller
Odie Carol Miller, 86, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 12, 1914, in Arkansas. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Berlyn Miller of Las Vegas; two brothers, Burl Langston of Missouri and Alfred Langston of Arkansas; two sisters, Louise Brickey and Addie Malone, both of Arkansas; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Sunday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
Douglas Raney
Douglas Raney, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 23, 1925, in Granite City, Ill. A resident for 46 years, he was a retired cook and World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Edythe; two sons, Michael "Shawn" Raney of Las Vegas and Douglas Raney Jr. of Kirkwood, Mo.; two daughters, Terri Susan Raney of Las Vegas and Kay Warner of Cass City, Mich.; two sisters, Juanita and Cookie, and one brother, Charlie Raney, all of Missouri; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 1-2 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
George Peter Stobie
George Peter Stobie, 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 18, 1918, in Evanston, Ill. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired physicist, with 15 years at Sandia Laboratories in Albuquerque, N.M., and 20 years at EG&G in Las Vegas. He was a charter member of Las Vegas Southwest Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J.; one daughter, Virginia Scofield, and one son, Dennis Stobie, M.D., both of Sacramento.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
