LAKE MEAD: Striped and largemouth bass fishing continues to be good throughout the lake.
Anglers are reporting success fishing on the surface for largemouth bass. Anglers fishing over the weekend at Government Wash caught a number of largemouth ranging in size from one to four pounds.
Spinner baits, artificial worms and top water lures are catching the fish.
Good to excellent action for stripers is being found in the Government Wash area. Stripers are also being caught at Black Island. Shad are abundant throughout the lake and stripers have moved into many of the coves in search of them. Boils are now common in the Boulder Basin, as the stripers move in on the schools of shad to feed. Stripers are being caught with top water lures, live shad and cut anchovies.
LAKE MOHAVE: One group of anglers reported catching and releasing four largemouth that ranged from one to four pounds. The fish were caught still fishing with plastic worms at a 30-foot depth.
