Magdalena J. Dockery
Magdalena J. Dockery, 80, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 6, 1920, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 47 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, William Dockery of Las Vegas; three sisters, Betty, Maureen and Jenny; four brothers, Rich, Robert, Tony and George; and two granddaughters.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Harry Friedrich
Harry Friedrich, 63, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born April 3, 1937, in Czechoslovakia. A resident for five years, he was a butcher at a meat-packing plant.
He is survived by his wife, Lillia Ann; two daughters, Valerie Wilson and Vanessa Orozco, both of Henderson; and two grandchildren.
Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Gladys Fritz
Gladys Fritz, 93, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born May 27, 1907, in Hanover, Pa. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Geraldine Cooper and Phyllis Cheyne, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Mary Leonard, and one brother, Kenneth Richard, both of Hanover, Pa.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Margaret 'Peggy' Gazze
Margaret "Peggy" Gazze, 79, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born July 2, 1921, in Massachusetts. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Frank; one daughter, Nancy Gazze of Los Angeles; one son, Robert Fowler of Florida; eight sisters, Barbara Kelstrom of Nevada, Evelyn Prince, Grace Edgar, Patty Greene and Marie Fournier, all of Massachusetts, Bette Ann Belden of Connecticut, Connie Guerra of Virginia and Elva Toomeu of Alabama; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Chil Seon Jeoung
Chil Seon Jeoung, 28, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 15, 1972, in Seoul, Korea. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Myoung-Won Suh; her mother, Jeoung Su Yu, her father, Jang Chun Jeoung, one sister, Won Ok Jeoung, and one brother, Dong Wuk Jeoung, all of Korea.
Services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
The family suggests donations to Young Nak Presbyterian Church.
Haruko Kagawa
Haruko Kagawa, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 1, 1913, in Sacramento. A resident for 4 1/2 years, she was a homemaker.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Louis Factor Krasny
Louis Factor Krasny, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 5, 1941, in Germany. A resident for 29 years, he was a taxicab driver.
He is survived by three daughters, Rachel Lang of North Las Vegas and Miriam Krasny-Kublin and Rebecca Krasny, both of Las Vegas; one son, Jacob Krasny of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.
Sharon M. Marano
Sharon M. Marano, 54, of Henderson died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born May 20, 1946, in New York. A resident for 15 years, she was a PBX operator at the Reserve hotel.
She is survived by her husband, Salvatore; and one daughter, Heather Musolff of Las Vegas.
Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
William J. Mihalovich Sr.
William J. Mihalovich Sr., 66, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 18, 1934, in Detroit. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired hotel head carpenter and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Adrienne; three daughters, Sharon Hosmer of Minden, Julie Patterson of Franklinville, N.J., and Lori Lick of Las Vegas; three sons, Kenneth Mihalovich of Newark, Ohio, William J. Mihalovich Jr. of Granville, Ohio, and Jeff Mihalovich of Hershey, Neb.; one sister, Frances Tasky, and one brother, Richard Mihalovich, both of Warren, Mich.; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Jack T. Phillips
Jack T. Phillips, 84, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 10, 1915, in Williamsport, Pa. A resident for six years, he was a retired machinist, a member of the Masons and Shriners.
He is survived by his wife, Mathilda J.; two daughters, Linda Widener of Sparta, N.C., and Kathyanne Wilson of Albany, N.Y.; four sons, John Phillips and Ronald Phillips, both of Albany, Gerard Hoff of Orange County, Calif., and Karl Hoff of Sylmar, Calif.; four sisters, Emily Cambell of Henderson, Ruth Beach of Coogans Station, Pa.,, Doris Phillips of Williamsport, Pa., and Connie Bucher of Belle Mead, Pa.; one brother, Jim Phillips of Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Mary Joan Scotti
Mary Joan Scotti, 69, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born April 20, 1931, in Missouri. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired school district purchasing agent.
She is survived by her husband, Sam; three sons, Richard Ross, Steve Ross and Randy Ross, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Roy Hargus of Florida and Corky Hargus of Missouri; one sister, Connie Hendrix of Missouri; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
Francis E. 'Bill' Shrader
Francis E. "Bill" Shrader, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 28, 1920, in Miami. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired engineering technician at a Naval shipyard, a World War II Navy veteran, a member of Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Sun City Softball Team, Sun City Tennis Association and was a Senior Olympian.
He is survived by his wife, Bea; three sons, John Shrader and Michael Shrader, both of Long Beach, Calif., and Rick Shrader of San Francisco; and two grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Salvation Army, P.O. Box 28369, Las Vegas, NV 89126.
Lucile West Young
Lucile West Young, 88, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 25, 1912, in Lincoln, Neb. A resident for 56 years, she was a homemaker, a member and past royal matron of the Order of Amaranth, Acacia Court 3 in Las Vegas, a member for more than 50 years of Order of the Eastern Star 452 in Canoga Park, Calif., and Trinity Shrine in California,
She is survived by three daughters, Anna Mae Eubanks, Claudette Noyes and Claire Thobodeau, and one son, Claude George Young, all of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
