Body found after argument
Metro Police detectives are investigating the Saturday slaying of a man found with what appeared to be a gunshot wound in the head.
Residents told detectives that they had heard two men arguing in the alley, and then heard gunshots.
If anyone has any information about the man's identity or this crime they are asked to call police at 229-3521 or Secret Witness at 385-5555.
The man's death was the 82nd homicide so far this year in Metro's jurisdiction compared with 93 at the same time last year.
Pedestrian killed crossing street
No charges have been filed yet against a teenage driver who fled the scene of a fatal accident but turned herself in later. Chilseon Jeong, 28, a Las Vegas resident, was attempting to cross West Charleston Boulevard at the corner of Redwood Street when she was hit by a Ford Bronco heading east on Charleston at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Jeong, who was pushing a shopping cart at the time of the accident, was taken to University Medical Center where she died.
The 17-year-old driver fled the scene, but turned herself in to police a short time later. The driver did not see Jeong, police said.
Rider dies after being hit by car
A bicyclist was killed Sunday afternoon when he attempted to cross Charleston Boulevard in mid-block and was hit by a car, Metro Police said.
The accident happened about 4 p.m. on East Charleston west of 30th Street.
The driver of the car hit his brakes but couldn't stop in time, and the bicyclist, who has not yet been identified, died at the scene from his injuries, police said.
