Cyclist hit crossing street

A 50-year-old bicyclist is dead after attempting to cross a street outside a crosswalk, Las Vegas police said.
The man was struck by a car as he tried to cross the street about 4 p.m. Sunday.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was withheld until his relatives can be notified.
The accident appeared to be the fault of the bicyclist, police said.
It was the 77th fatal accident this year.
