Letter: Israel must end occupation of Palestinian land

To me, he demonstrated a total ignorance or lack of knowledge of the facts on the ground, or just a mere intentional ethnic prejudice and hatred against the Palestinian people.
Palestinian rock throwers (Muslims and Christians) are being met with heavily armored Israeli soldiers, tanks, and attack helicopters. Almost 140 died so far, and thousands injured. The deaths are caused by intentional shots to the head and heart. Except for a handful, all the victims have been Palestinian civilians who are protesting the Israeli occupation of their land. It is as simple and as clear as that.
Israel is occupying Palestinian territory and needs to pull out, no ifs or buts. Israel must abide by U.N. resolution 242 and withdraw from all territories occupied in the 1967 war.
Anyone who blames the Palestinians for demanding that is nothing but a colonial fascist. Like any nation, Palestinians have the right to resist occupation and fight for freedom, peacefully or otherwise.
Since the peace process started, Israel has confiscated more Palestinian territories and destroyed more Palestinian homes, in direct violation of all agreements. These are the statistical and historical facts, not editorial analysis.
