Letter: Busch drives like a rookie
Friday, Oct. 27, 2000 | 12:17 p.m.
Thanks to Brian Hilderbrand for the enlightening article in the Las Vegas Sun regarding NASCAR rookie Kurt Busch ("Bumping Busch not making many friends on circuit," Oct. 23).
If you have the time to check it out, please review the videotape of Geoffrey Bodine's life-threatening accident at Daytona in February's truck race. You will see that Kurt Busch is responsible. The wreck started right in front of our seats at Daytona. It was obvious that Kurt Busch was at fault. While all video replays showed the tap by Busch that started the accident, I never heard or read any reporter's account that blamed Busch.
You can bet that my circle of fans will be booing this guy next year.
As far as another Vegas driver, Brendan Gaughan, is concerned, I would love to see him succeed.
