Two dead in apparent double homicide

The bodies of Nicole Rusk, 19, and Steven Sanchez, 28, were found in a McCarran Boulevard home late Monday after police were called to check on the couple. Investigators said both were shot to death and apparently were killed on Friday.

Deputy Police Chief Jim Weston said the case was being investigated as a double homicide and that drugs apparently were involved. Neighbors said the woman had frequent visitors at all hours and occasionally had loud parties.

Weston added that the victims apparently knew their killers and that the shootings were not random. He said there were no suspects, but investigators had several leads.
