Valley Hospital will host free exams
Free tests of lung capacity are being offered 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at Valley Hospital Medical Center, 620 Shadow Lane.
A certified pulmonary technician will administer a lung function test, and Michael B. Jacobs, an internist, will discuss causes for osteoporosis and ways to prevent osteoporosis 1-2 p.m. Thursday.

Children's facility open 33 years
St. Jude's Ranch for Children will celebrate 33 years of operation on Sunday.
The day at the ranch will kick off with a 9 a.m. Mass on the Boulder City campus. Later in the day there will be a barbecue and entertainment, including Flamingo Las Vegas hypnotist Justin Tranz and Boulder City's Calamity Jane and the Cowpunks.
St. Jude's Ranch for Children helps abused, abandoned and neglected youth. For more information, call 294-7100.

Capo Villa Ave.; 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Palo Verde High School, 333 Pavillion Drive; 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at Indian Springs Auxiliary, Indian Springs AFB; 4-9 p.m. Friday at PSI Seminars, 4001 S. Decatur Blvd., No. 33; 12:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday at Spring Meadows Presbyterian Church, 1600 E. Oakey Blvd.; 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sunday at Christ the King Church, 4925 Torrey Pines Drive; 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Las Vegas, 3050 Alta Drive; and 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Oct.29.

Behar's practice sessions changed
Joe Behar's Community Drama Workshop has changed the day, time and location for its free workshop sessions.
The workshops meet 10 a.m. Saturdays in the Gold Coast showroom. They are open to those wishing to learn and practice the skills needed for film and television auditions and work. For more information, call Joe Behar at 457-0234.
Immunizations
Health District immunization clinics are open each week in Southern Nevada. Immunizations are provided without charge to children and young adults under the age of 21 in any of four public health centers and 15 satellite clinics. The following clinics will be open this week, Oct. 25-31 :
DISTRICT HEALTH CENTER: 625 Shadow Lane, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
HENDERSON PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 129 W. Lake Mead Drive, Building A, Suite 10, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
EAST LAS VEGAS PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 560 N. Nellis Blvd., Suite E12, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
NORTH LAS VEGAS FAMILY HEALTH CENTER: 2225 Civic Center Drive, Suite 240C, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
EAST LAS VEGAS WIC OFFICE: 5701 Missouri Ave., 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
FREMONT MEDICAL CLINIC: 4880 S. Wynn Road, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Immunizations free to anyone who walks in.
