Nevada gasoline prices fell this month, but the overall cost of living rose in Las Vegas in September, two new reports show.
AAA said the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded self-serve gas in Nevada was $1.83 last week, down 1 cent from last month's record high, but up 38 cents from last October.
Las Vegas prices averaged $1.78, down 2 cents per gallon but up 37 cents from last year.
First Security Bank, in the meantime, said the cost of living in Las Vegas increased 0.2 percent during September following two months of decline.
The bank, which tracks local prices, said they increased for housing, clothing, utilities and recreation; but fell for transportation, health care and eating at restaurants.
