Letter: Bill makes sense for Black Rock
Monday, Oct. 23, 2000 | 10:11 a.m.
Nevadans have been trying to protect the area for years. This fact is often overlooked by a few resolutely anti-conservation county commissioners when they talk about the "rush" to protect the area. The bottom line is that Sens. Richard Bryan and Harry Reid crafted a fair compromise piece of legislation that all reasonable parties should sign on to. I hope that Rep. Jim Gibbons can educate the House of Representatives that this bill is a winner for Nevada.
