Lectures probe phenomena accompanying death

Dr. Raymond Moody and the Rev. David Devereaux will present a lecture series, "Angels and Stuff" and "How Do We Know That It Is True," beginning 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at University United Methodist Church, 4412 S. Maryland Parkway.
Moody, who holds the Bigelow Chair at UNLV, is the author of a number of books on spiritual phenomena. Devereaux, pastor of the church, will bring his experiences of being at the bedside of patients who are dying.
They will discuss the spiritual phenomena that sometimes accompanies death.
The series continues through Nov. 20, but will not meet Halloween.
Moody, the author of "Life After Life" and "Reunion: Visionary Encounters with Departed Loved Ones" is a professor of psychology.
