Three teens rough up staff member, flee Nevada Youth Training Center

The incident happened just before 1 a.m. Friday.

The stolen vehicle was described as a maroon 1993 Plymouth Acclaim, with license plate number 308 FHS. The car also has a rack on the back.

Supervisors said they do not know which direction the runaways headed from the facility along Interstate 80 just east of Elko.

Two of the boys are white. One is 17 and described as being 135 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. The other is 18, about 5-foot-9, 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

The third is Hispanic, 5-foot-11 and 155 pounds.

The staff member who was overpowered was taken to Elko General Hospital to be checked out but was not seriously injured, officials said.
