Letter: Here’s another choice: Being responsible

The pill, the IUD, the coil and monthly injections to name a few, in addition to abstinence. A little planning would save a life rather than snuffing one out. Controlling one's body is fine but there is one in the making that needs caring for, to be sure.
Not only are we looking to our country to help us from the "cradle to the grave," but now we need help from the "womb to the tomb." I remember President John Kennedy in a speech saying, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."
Shame on the Democratic Party for conditioning the people to look to the government for everything instead of taking responsibility for themselves.
