Political notebook: Candidates’ forum planned at City Hall

Residents can meet the candidates from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday at a forum sponsored by the city of Las Vegas in the plaza of City Hall, 400 Stewart Ave.
Many politicians or their representatives are expected to participate in Candidates' Day, including those running for U.S. Senate, state Senate and Assembly as well as many local races.
Election analysis
The Jewish Federation of Las Vegas will host a Nov. 17 luncheon to analyze the results of the 2000 elections.
The meeting scheduled for 11:40 a.m. will be at the Paris Las Vegas' La Rotisserie restaurant. Sun political columnist Jon Ralston is the guest speaker at the luncheon that will cost $25.
