Monday, Oct. 16, 2000 | 5:19 a.m.
The charges involve the now defunct Viet-Now Bingo hall.
A 50-count indictment made public Monday claims that Shelton, bingo manager Sue Carnathan and employee Lindon Baker participated in charitable fraud, illegal gambling, money laundering and filing false tax returns.
The indictments also say they lied to investigators about the activities.
Shelton's son Jon - who is also an attorney - was charged with illegal gambling.
All four pleaded innocent.
The trial has been scheduled for Dec. 11.
