Lilyan Baker
Lilyan Baker, 66, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born April 13, 1934, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 21 years, she was a member of Sons of Norway and Vegas Vikings.
She is survived by one daughter, Wendy Baker, and one son, Brad Baker, both of Las Vegas; and one brother, Donald Sorenson of West Virginia.
Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling private arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the National Parkinson Foundation Inc., 1501 Northwest Ninth Ave., Miami, FL 33136-1494.
Verna May Buck
Verna May Buck, 92, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born June 6, 1908, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 49 years, she was a retired hotel housekeeper.
She is survived by one daughter, Lorraine Kirk of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; one son, William Buck of Prescott, Ariz.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling private arrangements.
Reva Staver Channing
Reva Staver Channing, 85, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 14, 1916, in Sayre, Pa. A retired accounting clerk for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, she was past president of the sisterhood of Chisuk Emuna Synagogue, a member of Hadassah and the Association of Retired State Employees, a life member of the Jewish Community Center and life member and volunteer for the Guild of the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg (Pa.).
She is survived by two sons, Alan H. Channing of New York City and Barry M. Channing of Las Vegas; one sister, Sara Kaplan of Williamsport, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Harrisburg. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Wilbert E. Chaput
Wilbert E. Chaput, 80, of Pahrump died Saturday in Pahrump. He was born Dec. 19, 1919, in Massachusetts. A resident for eight years, he was a retired construction specialist for an air conditioning company and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Connie Bosma of California; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Bernardo P. Dalan, M.D.
Bernardo P. Dalan, M.D., 69, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospice. He was born July 24, 1931, in Manila, Philippines. A resident for three years, he was a retired physician and a member of the Philippines Medical Association of Nevada.
He is survived by his wife, Efigenia; five sons, Dante Dalan and Dean Dalan, both of Henderson, Dan Dalan of Fargo, N.D., Dennis Dalan of St. Cloud, Minn., and Bob Dalan of Bloomington, Minn.; and three sisters, Erlinda Caguin of West Covina, Calif., Zenaida Lumang of Orange County, Calif., and Angelina Meneses of the Philippines.
Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. services Friday and 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be noon Saturday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.

Jesse L. Logsdon Jr.
Jesse L. Logsdon Jr., 72, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born July 4, 1928, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a corrections officer for Metro Police and a retired Korean War and Vietnam War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie; one son, Michael Logsdon of El Paso, Texas; three daughters, D'Anne Coder, Elaine Rausch and Debra Logsdon, all of Las Vegas; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services are pending. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
William 'Rick' Knost
William "Rick" Knost, 76, of Las Vegas died Oct. 9 in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Sapulpa, Okla. A resident for three years, he was a retired steel worker and World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Glenda Suttle of Michigan; and three grandchildren.

Sally Lucas
Sally Lucas, 49, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born July 27, 1951, in Mobile, Ala. A resident for 28 years, she was a food service manager for Crestwood Elementary School for 20 years.
She is survived by one daughter, Kelly Lucas, and one son, Jeffrey Lucas, both of Las Vegas; her father, Emmett Hester of Boulder City; three sisters, Sonja Poindexter of Boulder City, Bonnie Hewitt of Las Vegas and Betty Solomon of Henderson; and two brothers, David Hester of North Las Vegas and Raymond Hester of Boulder City.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Debra L. Mares
Debra L. Mares, 51, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born April 12, 1949, in Albuquerque. A resident for 23 years, she was a hotel sales manager.
She is survived by one daughter, Adele Mares of Las Vegas; her father, Lawrence Gomez of Albuquerque; and three sisters, Beatrice Flores of Dixon, N.M., Deanna Gardner of Las Vegas and Laura Haggerty of Aurora, Colo.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Preston Marshall
Preston Marshall, 72, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 29, 1927, in Oklahoma. A resident for many years, he was an automotive mechanic and an Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Robert Marshall of Tulsa, Okla.

Duane McAneney
Duane McAneney, 82, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 11, 1918, in Walker, Minn. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired World War II and Korean War Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; two daughters, Carla Weber of Columbia, Md., and Claire Dobbs of El Cajon, Calif.; two sons, William McAneney of Westminster, Calif., and Duane McAneney II of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Dominico 'Babe' Muzio
Dominico 'Babe' Muzio, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 17, 1920, in Oakland, Calif. A resident for 44 years, he was a retired Silver State Disposal Co. supervisor, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Italian American Club.
He is survived by his wife, Neva; one daughter, Linda Moore of Las Vegas; two sisters, Rose Kehoe and Enece Rapini, both of California; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

He is survived by one son, Christopher Bruce Southworth of Las Vegas.
