Letter: Abuse of Blu not surprising

The ones responsible for the despicable act upon Blu should be expelled from school and thrown in jail or juvenile hall for six months to a year so they have some time to think over what they have done.

Animal abusers are mean, sadistic creeps who are the scum of the Earth. Since animals cannot speak for themselves, it is up to humans to be their voice and do whatever it takes to have laws changed so their suffering by the hand of man will stop.

Sadly, Blu's tormentors will probably get just a slap on the wrist, with probation and maybe a fine. People have committed some abominable acts to the animals of this planet. The bottom line is that we all need to wake up, get a grip and get involved.
