Company that owns music conference closes

The California company that owns Las Vegas' Emerging Artists and Talent in Music (EAT'M) conference has closed, the event's publicist said.
Jo-Ann Geffen of JAG Enterprises said EAT'M leaders have been trying to make contact with representatives of Solutions Media Inc., Carlsbad, which laid off employees and has a disconnection recording on its telephone.
Geffen said EAT'M founder Lisa Tenner and nine investors sold the conference to Solutions in a stock deal last year. She said it hasn't been determined what impact the closure will have on the event, which was in its third year when it was conducted last spring at the Rio hotel-casino.
