Imogene Allison

Imogene Allison, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 7, 1923, in California. A resident for 14 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, James E. Sr.; one son, James E. Allison Jr. of Las Vegas; two daughters, Sherry Smith and Bobbie Parker, and one sister, Betty Harwell, all of Bakersfield, Calif.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.

Donald Fred Anderson

Donald Fred Anderson, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 13, 1935, in Pickens County, Ga.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; two sons, William "Chip" Anderson of Fort Worth, Texas, and Donald Anderson of Boyd, Texas; five daughters, Linda Fullman of Reseda, Calif., Tresia Anderson of Fort Worth, Angie Morris and Debra Willis, both of Alvarado, Texas, and Laura Stowe of Las Vegas; one sister, Edna Cash of Atlanta; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be in Texas. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Angel Avalos

Angel Avalos, 8 1/2 months, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. She was born Jan. 23, 2000, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her parents, Dorothy and Steve Avalos, one sister, Kayla Avalos, and her grandparents, Richard Avalos and Steve and Michele Marglin, all of Henderson; and her two great-grandfathers, Jess Rodriguez of Pueblo, Colo., and William Maloney of New York City.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Lois L. Barclay

Lois L. Barclay, 87, of Boulder City died Sept. 26 in a local care center. A teacher, she was born Sept. 14, 1913, in Arkansas.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Howard B. Brennan

Howard B. Brennan, 82, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. A taxicab driver and an Army veteran, he was born April 3, 1918, in Mattesse, Mo.

Graveside services will be noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Theressa M. Cambric

Theressa M. Cambric, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 8, 1915, in North Carolina. A resident for four years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Daniel Eugene Cambric; three daughters, Lois M. Higgins, Charlotte L. Anderson and Eleanor C. Jones; three brothers, George Bogie, John Pannell and Logan Pannell; two sisters, Ines Dotson and Mina Sheppard; 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Oscar Eugene Carroll

Oscar Eugene Carroll, 80, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 4, 1920, in Oklahoma. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired barber shop owner-operator and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Sandy Baxley of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; one son, David Carroll of Pahrump; one sister, Pat Inklebarger; two brothers, Bob Carroll of Cathedral City, Calif., and Glenn Carroll of California; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 10:30 a.m. today at Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Mary I. Clarke

Mary I. Clarke, 84, of Boulder City died Friday in a local care center. She was born April 19, 1916, in Boulder City. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired PBX operator for a heavy equipment company.

She is survived by her husband, Harry C.; two daughters, Linda A. Baxter-Read of Roseville, Calif., and Rhea Patricia Davis of Washington state; one son, Larry A. Garrison of Midland, Texas; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today and one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Boulder City Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd.

Jacqueline Davenport

Jacqueline Davenport, 57, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born May 3, 1943, in Cleveland. A resident for two years, she was a retired school district custodian.

She is survived by one sister, Lillian Weisser of Las Vegas.

Robert W. Davison

Robert W. Davison, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 30, 1935, in Northfield, Minn. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired firefighter and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by one brother, Richard A. Davison of Joshua Tree, Calif.; and one sister, Nancie Carroll of Burney, Calif.

Edna M. Dice

Edna M. Dice, 93, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local convalescent center. She was born Nov. 4, 1906, in Reading, Pa. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth S. Boyer of Reading; two sons, James L. Dice of Las Vegas and Harvey P. Dice of North Huntington, Pa.; nine grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was scheduled 1-2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Betty J. Kirkman

Betty J. Kirkman, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 10, 1918, in Greenfield, Iowa. A resident for 30 years, she retired as a food server from the Sands hotel-casino and was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Bert W.; two daughters, Denise K. Prince of Las Vegas and Kim E. Knutson of Iola, Wis.; one son, Randy G. Kirkman of Henderson; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Ophelia Dudley King

Ophelia Dudley King, 77, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born Dec. 25, 1922, in Eudora, Ark. A resident for 48 years, she was a motel housekeeper.

She is survived by two sons, Norman Dudley Jr. and Flenord Dudley, and one daughter, Alvenia Allen, all of North Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-5 p.m. Thursday in the serenity room at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. John the Baptist Church on North Martin Luther King Boulevard. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

David Gust Maki

David Gust Maki, 47, of Pahrump died Sunday in Pahrump. He was born June 30, 1953, in Lansing, Mich. A former Las Vegas resident for 10 years and a Pahrump resident for two years, he was a data entry clerk.

He is survived by his lifelong companion, Ric Reynolds of Pahrump; two brothers, Kevin Hogan and Chris Hogan, both of Michigan; and three sisters, Carol Hogan and Jan Chapman, both of Lansing, and Cathy Murgan of Traverse City, Mich.

Neptune Society of Nye County, 720 Buol Lane, Pahrump, is handling arrangements.

Dorothy McNinch

Dorothy McNinch, 58, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 8, 1942, in Dubuque, Iowa. A resident for six years, she was a microfilm technician for the city of North Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, Robert K.; two daughters, Ann Dunkle of Hesperia, Calif., and Lois Daniel of Ada, Okla.; six brothers, Ron Hirsch, Tom Hirsch, Bill Wittstock, John Hirsch, Richard Hirsch and Robert Hirsch; four sisters, Ruth Ballinger, Mary Loes, Sandy Kaesbauer and Lois Jones; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

James J. Morrison III

James J. Morrison III, 75, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 16, 1924, in Pratt, Kan. A resident for 37 years, he was an air traffic controller for 30 years, a member of the Quiet Birdmen, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Society of Airway Pioneers, Zelzah Temple and Elks.

He is survived by his wife, Veleta G.; four sisters, Suzanne Jerome and Marilyn Morrison, both of Las Vegas, Amy Brazelton of Spanish Fork, Utah, and Marjorie Carpenito of Wickenburg, Ariz.; one sister, Margaret Scott of Hutchinson, Kan.; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kansas.

John Owen Rohay

John Owen Rohay, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 3, 1916, in Kattaning, Pa. A resident for 65 years, he was a retired railroad conductor and a member of Union Pacific Railroad Oldtimers.

He is survived by his wife, Marguerite; one daughter, Phyllis Otto of Kent, Wash.; one son, Ralph Rohay of Las Vegas; one sister, Virginia Morrow of Twin Falls, Idaho; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will follow in Davis' Paradise Memorial Gardens.

William Samuel Roseland

William Samuel Roseland, 57, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 20, 1943, in Minnesota. A resident for 10 years, he was a carpenter and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one brother, Owen T. Roseland; and four sisters, Barbara Ann Roseland, Janice Worke, Esthlene Shelton and Joyce Gibbons.

Toby Roselinsky

Toby Roselinsky, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 30, 1915, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Seniors of Ner Tamid.

She is survived by one daughter, Rose Roselinsky of Hawaii; one son, Alan Roselinsky of Las Vegas; one sister, Edna Becker of Florida; and two grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., followed by burial in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Robert Schibetta Sr.

Robert Schibetta Sr., 61, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 9, 1938, in Fredonia, N.Y. A resident for 37 years, he was a chief designer for the federal government and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Vincent Schibetta, Robert Schibetta Jr. and Steven Schibetta, and one brother, Charles J. Schibetta, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Jane Ranney of Geneva, Ohio; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Thursday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Ida E. Shinost

Ida E. Shinost, 85, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 12, 1915, in Hermosa, S.D. A resident for 34 years, she was a homemaker and a volunteer at the Overton Senior Center for 15 years.

She is survived by two sons, James Shinost of North Las Vegas and John Shinost of Henderson; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-6 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

David L. Simon

David L. Simon, 92, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born July 2, 1908, in England. A resident for 17 years, he was a retired linen supply company owner.

He is survived by his companion, Connie Pectol of Las Vegas; four daughters, Peggy Beall, Deborah Fox and Sandra Simon, all of Wichita, Kan., and Bette Simon-Zehnder of Lindsborg, Kan.; one son, Benjamin M. Simon of Wichita; one sister, Bonnie King of Los Angeles; one brother, Joe Simon of Beverly Hills, Calif.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services and burial will be in Los Angeles. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Gertrude Steiner

Gertrude Steiner, 77, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 8, 1923, in Vienna, Austria. A resident for 38 years, she was a retired owner-operator of a dry cleaning establishment and a member of Daughters of the Nile.

She is survived by her husband, Herman; two daughters, Susan Margolian of Montreal and Donna Steiner of Raleigh, N.C.; and one son, Arnold Izenberg of San Francisco.

Services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Audrey Vunovich

Audrey Vunovich, 61, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. She was born April 5, 1939, in New Jersey. A resident for 20 years, she retired as supervisor for the state Medicaid Division after 15 years.

She is survived by one son, Steven Katz of West Hills, Calif.; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Los Angeles. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Rosemarie Wheeler

Rosemarie Wheeler, 58, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born May 23, 1942, in Chicago. A resident for three years, she was a department store manager.

She is survived by her husband, George W.; two daughters, Cyndi Clydesdale of Conifer, Colo., and Michelle Henson of Edgewater, Colo.; two sons, David J. Wheeler of Laporte, Colo., and Ted A. Wheeler of Henderson; her father, George G. Jones of Henderson; her mother, Irene Jones of Buckeye, Ariz.; two brothers, Robert H. Jones of Buckeye and George J. Jones of Palm Springs, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Gerald W. Williams

Gerald W. Williams, 48, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 19, 1952, in Bethesda, Md. A resident for 40 years, he was a dealer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his parents, Helen and Gordon W. Williams of Las Vegas; and one sister, Connie Williams of New York City.

Visitation is scheduled 6-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
