Sandra L. Brown
Sandra L. Brown, 57, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 4, 1943, in Kentucky. A resident for 25 years, she was a bartender.
She is survived by one daughter, Kelley Dunne; her father, John Kessler; her mother, Lois Carter; one brother, Mark Carter; three sisters, Martha Hanley, Sharon Collinsworth and Pam Jeffries; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at 6416 Bannock Way. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Daisy L. Carter
Daisy L. Carter, 93, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. She was born July 30, 1907, in Shelbyville, Ky. A resident for six years, she was a retired hospital bookkeeper.
She is survived by one daughter, Doris J. Roederer of Henderson; three sisters, Pearl Weber of Lexington, Ky., Bessie Pfeffer of Louisville, Ky., and Margaret Young of Glendora, Calif.; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be in Covina, Calif. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Larry Albert Close
Larry Albert Close, 50, of Las Vegas died Sept. 3 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 6, 1950, in Missouri. A resident for 22 years, he was a stagehand.
He is survived by three sons, Brenden Close of Las Vegas and Trevis Close and Jeremiah Close, both of California; and one daughter, Jana Close of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be noon Thursday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.
Dawn Marie Conklin
Dawn Marie Conklin, 42, of Las Vegas died Saturday. She was born Dec. 4, 1957, in Toronto. A resident for 33 years, she was a food server.
She is survived by her husband, Gene P.; two daughters, Summer Ponte and Autumn Conklin, one son, David Ponte, and one brother, David Marsh, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Gail Marsh of Ontario; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled 2 p.m. Sunday in Calvary Community Church, 2900 N. Torrey Pines Drive.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Tina Susan Gomez
Tina Susan Gomez, 49, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 6, 1951, in California. A resident for many years, she was a casino caterer.
She is survived by her husband, Anthony; one daughter, Glenna Romero of Pomona, Calif.; and one sister, Selma Hernandez of Las Vegas.
Burial will be in New Mexico. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
James Hunter
James Hunter, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 13, 1921, in Sulphur Wells, Ky. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired construction contractor and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Marie; three daughters, Grace Marie Hunter, Ruth Marie White and Alice Marie Boelkens, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Harold Lee Hunter of Lexington, Ky.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. A service is scheduled 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Cheyenne. Burial will be in Culver City, Calif.
The family suggests donations to charities that benefit veterans.
Thomas Patrick Hyde
Thomas Patrick Hyde, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 6, 1924, in Green Bay, Wis. A resident for 36 years, he was a supervisor for the Postal Service, a World War II and Korean War Air Force veteran and a member of the Elks.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia; one brother, the Rev. Robert Hyde of DePere, Wis.; and one sister, Alice Bodilly of Green Bay.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Margaret 'Maggie' Inderkum
Margaret "Maggie" Inderkum, 60, of Seattle died Thursday in a Seattle medical center. She was born Sept. 30, 1940, in Sacramento. A former Las Vegas resident until six months ago, she was a records keeper for Metro Police.
She is survived by one daughter, Sherri of Everett, Wash.; one son, Michael, and her ex-husband, Joe Inderkum, both of Lake Stevens, Wash.; her sister, Linda; her good friend, Bill Morman; and four grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Evergreen Funeral Home, Seattle, is handling arrangements.
Elbert Kenneybrew
Elbert Kenneybrew, 78, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 13, 1922, in Idabel, Okla. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired hotel lead porter.
He is survived by one daughter, Bridgett Curtis of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
Visitation was scheduled until 5 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will be in Palm Memorial Park.
Marc Lobel
Marc Lobel, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. He was born Dec. 30, 1927, in Six Mile Township, Ill. A resident for two years, he was a Coast Guard veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; two daughters, Dawne Lobel and Nichole Maher, and one son, Thomas Lobel, all of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Willie Love
Willie Love, 60, of Las Vegas died Sept. 1 in Las Vegas. He was born April 2, 1940, in Lake Providence, La. A resident for 33 years, he was a porter in the gaming industry.
He is survived by four brothers, Levester Love and Lonnie Love, both of Las Vegas, Wilson Love of Milwaukee and Ezekiel Love Jr. of Thomastown, La.; and two sisters, Marjorie Love and Dorothy Love, both of Las Vegas.
Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Burial will be private.
Dixie J. Madsen
Dixie J. Madsen, 71, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 20, 1928, in Utah. A resident for 44 years, she was a Nevada Test Site secretary.
She is survived by her husband, Emil; two sons, William D. Hansen and Alan Allsop; one daughter, Su Von Mazo; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Will Murphy
Will Murphy, 33, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 5, 1967, in Panorama City, Calif. A resident for 20 years, he was a dealer and a musician in a band called Swordfish.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn; two daughters, Kelsey Murphy and Mariah Murphy, one son, Billy Murphy, his parents, Jim and Elena Murphy, two sisters, Tina Hobbs and Jenny Moore, and one brother, Danny Murphy, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Beth Sargent of Las Vegas and Bill Murphy of Prescott, Ariz.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.
Jack Nerenberg
Jack Nerenberg, 67, of Boulder City died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 17, 1933, in Atlantic City, N.J. A resident for 18 years, he was an owner-operator of a tax accounting firm, a Korean War Army veteran, a member of the National Association of Tax Practitioners and a volunteer for Lend A Hand in Boulder City.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia M.; two daughters, Laurie Nason of Las Vegas and Melinda Nerenberg of St. Petersberg, Fla.; three sons, Michael Wood and Kevin Wood, both of Boulder City, and Matthew Wood of Sparks; one brother, Bill Nerenberg of Boca Raton, Fla.; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 30 minutes prior to 1 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Rachel Reynolds, 15, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 31, 1985, in Las Vegas. A resident for eight years, she was a Pahrump Valley High School sophomore, a member of the Honor Roll and the Young Women's Organization of the LDS Church.
She is survived by her parents, Jessie and Bobby Reynolds of Pahrump; one brother, Cody Reynolds, five sisters, Laura Maynard, Tammy Sharron, Kimberly Wimberly, Stacey Bansback and Amy Reynolds, and her grandmother, Helen Cardon, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Pahrump Family Mortuary, 2240 E. Calvada Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Thursday in the LDS chapel in Pahrump.
Phyllis Wilson Thompson
Phyllis Wilson Thompson, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 17, 1933, in South Dakota. A resident for 40 years, she was a keno manager.
She is survived by three sons, Russell, Archie and Bob; one sister, Johnnie Lee; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Joseph A. Tosta
Joseph A. Tosta, 89, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 16, 1910, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired tool and die man.
He is survived by one son, Carl Tosta of Las Vegas; one brother, Tony Tosta of Port Charlotte, Fla.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Yuzure Une
Yuzure Une, 76, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Hiroshima, Japan. A resident for six years, he was a machinist for a food processing plant for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Toshino; three daughters, Vicky Kagawa of Las Vegas and Carol Mochinaga and Irene Ishigo, both of Granada Hills, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in California. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Lorrain R. Van Houten
Lorrain R. Van Houten, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born June 13, 1926, Blue Island, Ill. A resident for one year, she was a retired franchising secretary.
She is survived by her husband, Harold; one daughter, Dawn Marie Landers of Honesdale, Pa.; one son, Bruce Van Houten of West Covina, Calif.; two sisters, Doloris Skinner of Chino Valley, Ariz., and Violet Morales of Corpus Cristi, Texas; two brothers, Richard B. Steele of Las Vegas and Lester O. Steele of Las Vegas; one sister, Sharon Randolph of Waverly, Ill.; and one grandchild.
