Reno police juggling jobs

He said it happens every year and was discussed with the six deputy chiefs during a retreat Sept. 27.
The biggest change affects the Professional Standard Divisions, which includes the internal affairs, risk management and crime analysis sections.
Hoover is doing away with the lieutenant's position in charge of risk management and crime analysis sections and is bringing in a third sergeant to investigate internal affairs complaints.
Deputy Chief Tom Robinson takes over command of the Professional Standards Division from Deputy Chief Jim Johns, who now oversees the Reno Communications Center.
Lt. Jake Wiskerchen will be moving out of the crime analysis section to be commander of the central patrol district, which includes the downtown Reno corridor. He replaces Lt. Ron Donnelly, who moved to the traffic division.
Lt. Hal Wood was moved out of traffic and will be the graveyard watch commander.
