George 'Andy' Anderson

George "Andy" Anderson, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. He was born Sept. 24, 1920, in Glasgow, Scotland. A resident for 18 years, he was a retired welder.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will be private.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Belva Jean Heise

Belva Jean Heise, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local health care center. She was born March 16, 1933, in Portland, Ore. A resident for 16 years, she was a clerk in the furniture industry.

She is survived by her husband, Warren; one daughter, Deborah Heise, and two sons, Kenneth Heise and Gerald Heise, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Eugene Fitzwater of Los Angeles; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Sara E. L'Heareux

Sara E. L'Heareux, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 15, 1941, in Massachusetts. A resident for many years, she was a cook in a nursing home.

She is survived by her husband, Guy.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Massachusetts. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Joseph J. Ogrodowicz

Joseph J. Ogrodowicz, 84, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 15, 1916, in Detroit. A resident for 25 years, he was retired from the Navy, a World War II veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by one brother, Edward Klimczak of Alpena, Mich.; and one niece, Bernice Mastej of East China, Mich.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Ruth Ann Parrish

Ruth Ann Parrish, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for 41 years, she was born Dec. 27, 1928, in Chicago.

She is survived by her husband, Jack W.; one son, Mike Parrish, and one daughter, Diane Parrish, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Gene Rosati

Gene Rosati, 90, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 1, 1910, in Boston. A resident for 47 years, he was a musician, a virtuoso of alto, saxophone, clarinet and violin, a member of the American Federation Musicians Local 47.

A cryptside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Shawn David Rowlett

Shawn David Rowlett, 16, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 23, 1984, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a student.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, David and Renee Rowlett of Henderson; his mother and stepfather, Vicky and Lupe Gallegos, and one sister, Ashlyn Gallegos, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Chad Rowlett, and two stepsisters, Brook Haberstroh and Amanda Haberstroh, all of Henderson; and his grandparents, Jim and Marilyn Jimenez and Mert and Betty Fleming, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. today and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday with services following at 4 p.m. in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests donations to TLC Care Center, 1500 W. Warm Springs Road, Henderson, NV 89014.

Johannes Adriaan Schetselaar

Johannes Adriaan Schetselaar, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for 29 years, he was born March 21, 1919, in Holland.

He is survived by one son, Ady Schetselaar of Canyon Lake, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Lena Sugar

Lena Sugar, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. She was born Sept. 4, 1918, in Kannard, Pa. A resident for 32 years, she was a hotel waitress and a member of the Culinary Union.

She is survived by one son, Norman J. Sugar, and one daughter, Patricia Preus, both of Las Vegas; three brothers, Raymond Rechedy and James Rechedy, both of Warren, Ohio, and Simon Rechedy of Jefferson, Ohio; three sisters, Angie Kerfoot and Adelaid Giangiordano, both of Burghill, Ohio, and Norma Melvin of Edgewater, Fla.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10-11 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Sylvia Swerdloff

Sylvia Swerdloff, 89, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born May 20, 1911, in Philadelphia. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Edna "Buttons" Swerdloff of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Clarence John Terrano

Clarence John Terrano, 92, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 12, 1907, in San Francisco. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired executive in the casino industry and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Carol Kristovich of South San Francisco; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Charles W. Zanewych

Charles W. Zanewych, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born April 16, 1926, in Fulton, N.Y. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired tool and die maker for a helicopter manufacturer, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Moose and was active in Ukrainian egg classes.

He is survived by one son, Jon Zanewych of Alpharetta, Ga.; three daughters, Shirley, Diane and Sandra; three sisters, Ann Robinson, Julia Wallace and Estelle Zanewych; three brothers, James Zanewych, Peter Zanewych and Michael Zanewych; and seven grandchildren.

Louis Zolczer

Louis Zolczer, 84, of Henderson died Friday in a local care center. He was born March 15, 1916, in McKeesport, Pa. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired hotel chef.

He is survived by three daughters, Elaine Little and Margie Zolczer, both of Henderson and Judy Godzin of McKeesport; one son, William Zolczer of Henderson; three sisters, Helen Oleska, Margaret Hijek and Ann Marshall, all of McKeesport; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
