Work card subject of suit

A Clark County resident who had his work card revoked when he filed for a special private investigator work card has filed suit in Clark County District Court.
Moises A. Flores has asked the court to reverse a decision by the Clark County Business Licensing division and Metro to revoke his work card.
Officials said they took the work card away when a routine computer check determined Flores had been convicted of possession of stolen property. They said applicants convicted of a felony or a crime involving moral turpitude may not be employed as security agents.
But Flores' suit argues that the Nevada Legislature repealed the statute on which the denial was based.
A county spokesman said the agency has a policy to not comment on pending litigation.
