UNLV Hall of Fame ceremony at MGM Grand

UNLV will hold the 2000 Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Friday at the MGM Grand Conference Center's Premier Ballroom.

This year's inductees are broadcaster Bob Blum, swimmer Sally Fleisher-Ihmels, track's Trena Hull-Carhee and Lisa Thompson-Houston, basketball player Pauline Jordan, swimmer Bart Pippenger and the 1989-90 men's basketball team.

Scheduled to be in attendance from the national championship squad are head coach Jerry Tarkanian, Travis Bice, Stacey Cvijanovich, coach Cleveland Edwards, Bryan Emerzian, Chris Jeter, Dave Rice and Moses Scurry. The reception begins at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m.

The awards presentation is scheduled for 8 p.m. Individual tickets are $75 and a table of 10 may be purchased for $1,000. For tickets, call Zach Smith at 895-4411.
