Bandits defeated in France

The Las Vegas Bandits received little French hospitality in their first pre-season exhibition game in Europe as they were whistled for 32 fouls during a 105-99 loss to the Montpelier Basket Jumpers on Wednesday night at Le Palais des Sport de Montpelier. The game was won at the free-throw line for the Basket Jumpers. Montpelier, a top division team from the French National Basketball League, outscored the Bandits 36-4 from the line. Five Bandits scored in double figures led by Kris Johnson's 18 off the bench. Anderson Hunt knocked down 15, Jo Jo Garcia had 14 and Franz Pierre-Louis added 12 points to go along with 8 rebounds. Michael Johnson added 10 points.
