U.S. Supreme Court denies appeal of Nevada death row inmate

Justices on Monday denied without comment the appeal filed by Michael Mulder, who is facing a death sentence for murdering a 77-year-old Las Vegas man.
During trial, prosecutors argued Mulder was a drug addict who beat John Ahart to death and stole his car, jewelry and other belongings from his mobile home.
The Nevada Supreme Court previously rejected Mulder's claim that he didn't get a fair trial.
