Letter: Freeway aid is a godsend
Monday, Oct. 2, 2000 | 9:23 a.m.
My husband and I had a flat tire on U.S. 95. Traffic was horrendous, and there they were just seconds after we pulled over to the shoulder. They were like guardian angels without the wings. But as fast as they arrived, they must have had wings! We need more on 95 South. We live in Henderson and I often see stranded motorists on the shoulder.
Kudos to Tony Pisano and Joe Kuhner. We need more services like this, especially in our very hot summers. Year-round service on our major freeways would be a blessing. It is the best idea to come from the Nevada Department of Transportation, ever!
Thank you to those who provide this wonderful service.
