Glenda Louise 'Lou' Balzer
Glenda Louise "Lou" Balzer, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 26, 1935, in Ravenna, Ohio. A resident for six years, she was a retired social worker for a nonprofit organization.
She is survived by two daughters, Christina Raguse of DeKalb, Ill., and Annette Wheeler of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service was scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
The family suggests donations to the American Liver Foundation, 1425 Pampton Ave., Cedar Grove, NJ 07009 or a local animal shelter.
Jason Michael Blackston
Jason Michael Blackston, 22, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 7, 1978, in Knox, Ind. A resident for 10 years, he was a college student.
He is survived by his fiancee, Angela Clarke, his parents, Bob and Susan Blackston, and one sister, Shaina Blackston, all of Las Vegas; and his grandparents, Flona and Andrew Kosiner, both of Louisville, Ky., and Cora Forsythe of North Judson, Ind.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services are scheduled 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Augie Biami Jr., 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 25, 1928, in Milwaukee. A resident for six years, he was a retired supervisor/technician.
He is survived by his wife, Una; four daughters; six sons; one brother, Victor Biami of Las Vegas; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Friday at the Good Samaritan Lutheran Church, 6500 W. Flamingo Road. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is arranging a private burial.

Herbert Lee Brown Jr., 35, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born March 6, 1965, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a courier for Federal Express and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Glory of North Las Vegas; two sons, Dominic Wilson and Herbert L. Brown III, both of North Las Vegas; three daughters, Jasmine Brown and Sheilana Brown, both of North Las Vegas, and Kiara Kendhammer-Brown of Las Vegas; his parents, Everlena and Herbert Lee Brown Sr. of North Las Vegas; and one brother, Kevin "KB" Brown of Las Vegas.

Raymond Burridge, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 3, 1932, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 43 years, he was a retired Metro Police officer and a member of the Las Vegas Police Protective Association.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan; one son, Rulon Burridge, and one daughter, Lisa Charbonneau, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Darlene Oliver of Federal Way, Wash.

Inocente Cardenas, 67, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 28, 1932, in Mexico. A resident for 12 years, he was a hotel dishwasher.
He is survived by his wife, Belen; three daughters, Lupe Fernandez and Maria Sanchez, both of Las Vegas, and Maria S. Suarez of California; one son, Felix Cardenas of Mexico; and 10 grandchildren.

Richard R. Chowning, 50, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born March 9, 1950, in Gary, Ind. A resident for 30 years, he was a hotel cook and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his companion, Lynn Young, two daughters, Daria Cabalas and Tiffany Chowning, and three sons, Brice Chowning, James Chowning and Richard Chowning Jr., all of Las Vegas; one brother, Thomas Chowning of New Jersey; and four grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Lee; two sons, Andre Bowie and Robert Lee Dean, one daughter, Latrell Dean, and her parents, Marcus and Gennie Morris, all of Las Vegas; five sisters, Luvenia Gray and Glory Jean Howard, both of Las Vegas, and Ora Fleming, Hazel Morris and Hazel Brown, all of North Las Vegas; four brothers, Sylvester Morris, Sammy Morris, Leon Morris and Laron Morris, all of North Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Lois Friedman, 54, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 14, 1946, in Los Angeles. A resident for seven years, she was a public relations representative for insurance and other companies.
She is survived by her parents, Israel and Pauline Friedman, and one sister, Elaine Gamson, all of Las Vegas.

Mary Frances Geller, 75, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 10, 1925, in Queens, N.Y. A resident for 25 years, she was a retired bookkeeper and co-owner of a medical supply company.
She is survived by her husband, George H.; two sons, George F. Geller and Eugene D. Geller, and one daughter, Barbara Ward, all of Henderson.
