John LaMoine Ballner Sr.

John LaMoine Ballner Sr., 76, of Pioche, died Wednesday in Pioche. He was born Sept. 29, 1924, in Wellsfleet, Neb. A resident for more than 40 years, he was a retired chef.

He is survived by one son, John L. Ballner Jr., and one daughter, LaWana K. Ballner, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Luis Alberto Crespo

Luis Alberto Crespo, 45, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 3, 1955, in Cuba. A resident for 15 years, he was a cabdriver.

He is survived by his wife, Ana Maria; four sons, Louie, Jason, Jonathan and Andrew; and his mother, Nereida.

Visitation is scheduled 9-11 a.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday in Trinity Life Center, 1000 E. St. Louis Ave. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Thursday in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Julio Dominguez

Julio Dominguez, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born April 29, 1927, in Havana. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired hotel housekeeper.

He is survived by his wife, Maria; three daughters, Joanne Dominguez of Las Vegas and Mercedes Dominguez and Maryesther Baez, both of New Jersey; two sisters, Elsa Varela and Maria Dominguez, and one brother, Ignacio Dominguez, all of Florida; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Lloyd Draayer

Lloyd Draayer, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 4, 1930, in Utah. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired Marine Corps lieutenant colonel and a Vietnam veteran and very active with rodeos throughout the West.

He is survived by his wife, Natasha; one daughter, Jennifer Draayer Browning of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his mother, Ida Draayer of Ogden, Utah; one sister, Renae Coburn of Surprise, Ariz.; one brother, Kash Draayer of Phoenix; and one grandchild.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Gail M. Goddard

Gail M. Goddard, 54, of North Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. She was born Sept. 2, 1946, in El Reno, Okla. A resident of Las Vegas for 20 years and most recently a resident of North Las Vegas for five years, she was a retired stockbroker.

She is survived by three sons, Brian Goddard of North Las Vegas and Blake Goddard and Jason Goddard, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Terry Mayes of Austin, Texas; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Lucille M. Gordon

Lucille M. Gordon, 81, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Feb. 6, 1919, in Akron, Ohio. A resident for 49 years, she owned and operated a dog grooming business.

She was preceded in death by one son, Allen Stack.

She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary King of Las Vegas; one son, Norman Stack of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Earl Carl Johnson

Earl Carl Johnson, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 19, 1931, in Danville, Ill. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired Clark County deputy sheriff, worked with the constable's office and the airport and was a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Deborah Roses and Kathy Lord, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Robert Johnson of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Leslie Johnson of Las Vegas; one stepson, Scott Mackie of Jefferson, Ore.; two stepdaughters, Denise Mackie and Jill Mackie, both of Las Vegas; four sisters, Mary Lilly of Chicago, Judy Bock of Loves Park, Ill., Sharon Schomer of Phoenix and Marie St. Johns of Seminole, Fla.; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the LDS Pennwood chapel. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Roscoe Jones Sr.

Roscoe Jones Sr., 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born May 30, 1925, in Sledge, Miss. A resident for 46 years, he was a beautician.

He is survived by his wife, Bettie J.; two sons, Roscoe Jones Jr. of Asheville, N.C., and Larry Jones of Las Vegas; five daughters, Tamatha Clark of San Antonio, Ione Pendley of Carbon Hils, Ala., Denise Hustone of Haywood, Calif., Marcia Reeves of Sacramento and Lena Marshall of Las Vegas; 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2:30-7 p.m. Thursday in Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in Greater New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Donald F. Kimmel

Donald F. Kimmel, 82, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 26, 1918, in Troy, Ohio. A resident for five years, he was a retired printer, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Masons.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; and one daughter, Judy Kimmel of Las Vegas.

John Dennis Lee

John Dennis Lee, 82, of Pahrump died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born April 29, 1918, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for 16 years, he was a truck driver and a World War II Navy veteran.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Marlin and Robert.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel; one daughter, Carol A. Moore of Pahrump; one son, Jack D. Lee of South Dakota; one sister, Peggy Yomnick of Pahrump; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Joseph V. LeRoy

Joseph V. LeRoy, 78, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 7, 1922, in Long Beach, Calif. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, a Korean War veteran and a member of the Distinguished Flying Cross Society Prop Nuts.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret J.; two daughters, Florine E. Sandoe of Seattle and Pamela J. Braunschweig of Zurich, Switzerland; two sons, Richard V. LeRoy of Camarillo, Calif., and David J. LeRoy of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Wilburn Nickolas Little

Wilburn Nickolas Little, 87, of Pahrump died Monday. He was born Jan. 30, 1913, in Buckner, Mo. A resident for 21 years, he was a bowling pinsetter mechanic.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita; one daughter, Susan Heinrich of Las Vegas; three sons, James Little and Robert Little, both of Camarillo, Calif., and Jack Little of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; one brother, Curtis Little of Sun City, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Thomas Moran

Thomas Moran, 71, of Las Vegas died Nov. 3 in Las Vegas. He was born April 19, 1929, in New York City. A resident for 30 years, he was a factory worker in the pharmaceuticals industry and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Steven Bernard Moran; one daughter, Cheryl Moran; three brothers, Michael Moran, David Moran and Joseph Moran; two sisters, Lorraine Licata and Rose Rosso; and one grandchild.

Helen M. Pantuso

Helen M. Pantuso, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 12, 1915, in Polson, Mont. A resident for 52 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, John C.; one daughter, Linda Foster, and two sons, John O. Pantuso and Ernie Pantuso, all of Henderson; two sisters, Thena Dewey of California and Grace Shildmeyer of Washington state; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Somboon Peterson, 58, of Las Vegas died Nov. 13 in Las Vegas. She was born April 10, 1942, in Salakam, Thailand. A resident for 21 years, she was a hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by one son, Kittiya Peterson of Thailand; and her companion, Richard Shafer of Nevada.

Joseph S. Porto

Joseph S. Porto, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 31, 1922, in Moon Run, Pa. A resident for 17 years, he was a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Emma J.; two daughters, Anna Shartzer and Debra Porto, both of Las Vegas; one son, Dominick Porto of Pomona, Calif.; two sisters, Elvera Newton of Hesperia, Calif., and Lucy Bufalino of San Jose, Calif.; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

William B. Rosenfield

William B. Rosenfield, 78, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Minneapolis. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired industrial designer in the aerospace industry and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Edith; two sons, Gary Rosenfield of Las Vegas and Robert Rosenfield of Henderson; and four grandchildren.

Donald Thomas Smith

Donald Thomas Smith, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 21, 1936, in San Diego. A resident for four years, he did maintenance on heavy equipment, was an Air Force veteran and was an amateur radio operator for 20 years.

He is survived by his wife, Judy M.; three sons, Michael Smith, Thomas Smith and Steven Smith, all of Oregon; and his mother, Anne Levithure of Nevada.

Cleolene Tome

Cleolene Tome, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A resident for 20 years, she was born Jan. 13, 1919, in Shawnee, Okla.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd; two sons, James Ubanks of Sacramento and Stephen Ubanks of Anaheim, Calif.; one daughter, Joy Hilton of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
