Letter: Oppression, hate rule in Nevada
Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000 | 9:14 a.m.
We need moral people like her to continue the uphill fight to battle oppression in this puritanical state.
The sad truth is that right-wing Christians are openly teaching and spewing hatred while they pursue their own self-righteous bigotry and consider themselves above reproach.
Like Morrow, the Jesus I know is incapable of hate. Hate is what caused the death and torture of millions of people in Nazi Germany.
If Morrow can show me a way to fight oppressive forces, I will jump on the bandwagon with her. Unfortunately in my lifetime, I am afraid I shall never be proud to call myself a Nevadan.
