Letter: Abortion pill easy way out

When used up to 49 days after the start of a woman's last menstrual period, it is 95 percent effective in causing an abortion. This "miracle" pill will allow abortion to be more common to the community. The pill neither adds nor subtracts anything but atmospherics. This "miracle" pill is a drug intended to kill.

RU-486 is medical abortion. It makes the decision of aborting a fetus both physically and emotionally easier, physically by not "going under the knife" and emotionally by not having to think or know that an actual baby is being killed.

It is showing female adults both young and old that it is all right to have intercourse without the worry of conception.
