StumbleFulkerson named executive director of Nevada office of Veteran Services

Gov. Kenny Guinn appointed Fulkerson of Reno to the post, the third Nevada governor to call on his services.
Gov. Robert List appointed Fulkerson director of the state Selective Service from 1979-85 and Gov. Richard Bryan recalled him to active duty in 1985 as U.S. property and fiscal officers for the Nevada National Guard.
His military career includes two combat tours of Vietnam as an infantry officer, assignments in Europe and a tour as the assistant professor of military science at UNR.
