Five Henderson teachers were recently awarded grants by the Reserve hotel-casino.
Grants were awarded to Jennifer Dantuono-Adams of C.T. Sewell Elementary School, Cynthia Montoyo of Green Valley High School, Janet Bremer of Gordon McCaw Elementary School, Sally Miner of Robert Taylor Elementary School and Daphne Grabovoi of Silverado High School.
The teachers' applications were selected from nearly 40 submissions from Henderson and Boulder City teachers and librarians. Each educator will receive a $1,000 grant for professional enrichment.
Funds will be used for various projects such as a reading program and a journalism conference.
The grants were offered by the Reserve in conjunction with the Clark County Public Education Foundation.
